This was the fourth and last time I have/will stay at Bay Watch. We chose it due to the number of pools available and its location. This place has really gone down, my stay was from July 10 - July 17th 2010, my family goes this same time every year its usually at least 40 of us. There is a mildew/awful smell that is present in Tower 1 and Tower 3, its amazing to me that its not present in Tower2, maybe thats because that is the tower that you check in and people might refuse to stay if it was noticed there. The elevators are tiled and are at all times wet and dirty, you never see anyone regularly tending to this problem which is a serious fall hazard. The weight room has two very, very old treadmills and one eliptical machine for 3 towers with 19 floors!!!! None of the machines have been kept up at all, the eliptical sounds like it will break as its being used. The Nautilus machine has the weights stuck up in the top. The pools are nice but are usually quite cloudy by 1pm, the only maintenance that I saw done on the pools was done in the morning, with the amount of guests using the pools I am sure it needed much more attention. The maid service is useless and they didn't touch my kitchen the two days I paid for maid service, neither did they vacuum. When I called the front desk I was told that they dont do anything in the kitchen except wipe the counters!! ABC(mngr) was nice enough to refund my money. Overall, not worth the money there are several closer resorts with much better service nearby!!

The room my family and i stayed in couldn't be better. The location is perfect right next to bare foot landing. The employees are attentive and well trained. It;s nice to know there is still some hotels in myrtle beach that care for guests. we are planning next year's vacation and plan on coming in the fall.

Our family wanted to see a concert at the Barefoot Landing and stumbled upon this hotel. Only staying there 2 nights we plan on coming back for our week vacation. Our room was in the middle tower connected to the front office which was convienent since our key stopped working. But other then this problem, we enjoyed our ocean front room with plenty of space. The wireless was not as strong but listening to the ocean was memorable....

This was our first vacation coming to myrtle beach, and being thatt we havenever been to this paticular location made me wonder. My 2 children had a incrediblel time with listening to the ocean while swimming. It rained on one of days so we went shopping near by then swimming indoors. We have planned our summer vacation before my kids go back to school and look forward to it in afew months.
